Green Skills Academy is a training and employment initiative designed to guide young people seeking opportunities towards professional roles in the green economy, harnessing their potential as a driver of sustainable development in the South.
The programme aimed to generate lasting impact through the development of green skills useful for local growth and for creating new employment opportunities in strategic supply chains across the territories.
The Academy, implemented in Brindisi and Catania in 2025 with a focus on photovoltaics, concluded with job interviews at companies and the employment placement of several participants.
The pilot initiative gave rise to a three-year programme active from 2026 across 4 territories in the South, including Brindisi.
