Green Skills Academy is a training and employment initiative created to support young people not in education, employment or training (NEETs) in accessing professional opportunities in the green economy, while developing their talent and potential.
The programme aims to generate lasting impact by developing green skills aligned with business needs and with new employment opportunities in strategic sectors of the ecological transition.
The Academy, delivered in Brindisi and Catania in 2025 with a focus on the photovoltaic sector, concluded with interviews with companies and the employment placement of some participants.
The pilot experience contributed to the development of Energie con il Sud, a three-year training, empowerment and employment programme focused on the energy of the future, active from 2026 in Puglia, Sicily, Calabria and Campania.
